Gossamer white
on powder blue
Stretched at the sides
and edges
like candy floss wisps
they race
blown by the wind
from one side
of.the sky
to the other
pretending lightness
heavy with the weight
of rain to come later
their easy breezy disguise
fools the sun today
as they plan their coup
the rains will come tomorrow
but today belongs to the sun
